a charity about clarity
It is with a great deal of sadness that we have heard of the death of William’s brother, Charlie Yeoward.
Charlie was a great supporter of William’s vision for Screw Cancer and has in more recent times acted as one of our patient advocates as we develop the app. We were enormously appreciative of the time that he spent sharing his own personal experiences and advice as a patient living with oesophageal cancer. Like his brother, Charlie was enormously talented and much loved and he will be sorely missed.
Charlie’s daughter Rosie recently joined the Board of Trustees of Screw Cancer adding the expertise of her own medical background and continuing the Yeoward involvement in the charity.
Our condolences and love to Charlie’s family, Ann, Rosie and Ollie, and to his mother Caroline and brothers, Patrick and Dai.
William was a designer living and working in London. As many do today he was living with cancer and had been for a while. He found his experience to be a test of his inner self. His resolve was to make a difference where he could.
Mike Nicholson and William worked together for over 20 years. Before William died, Mike composed this song 'Nothing at all' as a thank you for all William’s support. Mike played this at William’s memorial service and today it is the soundtrack for a moving tribute to William by our colleagues at the company which bears his name. Mike has donated his composition to Screw Cancer and encourages anyone who would like to download it to make a donation to Screw Cancer through our JustGiving website.
Happy memories from William’s friends at William Yeoward.
